The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in power within the urban setting.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Questers and Strategists parties.

Fans can anticipate learning which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
